Biographical Information:
Laren Conklin earned her bachelor's degree in psychology at Bowling Green State University. While at Bowling Green, she worked with Dr. J. Devin McAuley. She also participated in an intense learning community (the IMPACT Learning Community) designed to hone students’ critical thinking skills. Since joining the Depression Lab in 2006, she has studied the nature of cognitive biases in depression and goal pursuit and depression. Her master's thesis project examines the role of a brief goal skills intervention in facilitating engagement in behavioral assignments used in psychotherapies for depression.
