Research & Clinical Interests
Tassé’s research and clinical interests are in the area intellectual disability (ID) and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). His research has been in the area of co-occurrence of intellectual disability or autism and psychiatric problems or problem behaviors. He has also conducted research in the area of adaptive behavior, test development, and supports needs. Tassé’s clinical interests include the diagnosis of intellectual disability as well as the assessment and treatment of problem behavior and psychiatric disorders in individuals with ID or ASD. He has conducted over 100 trainings, workshops, and presentations in these areas. His publications include more than 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals, chapters, and books in the area of ID and ASD. Tassé has co-authored several standardized assessment instruments in the field of developmental disabilities, including the Supports Intensity Scale (Thompson et al., 2004) and the Nisonger Child Behavior Rating Form (Aman et al., 1995). He is currently the Chairperson of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) workgroup developing the Diagnostic Adaptive Behavior Scale. He is a Fellow of the AAIDD and recipient of their Service Award (2007 & 2009).Selected Publications
